About Us

Biodiesel has become a popular alternative fuel because it can power vehicles with natural gas, diesel, or the hybrid blends that are now mandatory by law.

The GLB Canada Biodiesel Company Ltd is the largest producer of biodiesel in Canada, producing over 4 million litres each year with plans to increase production to 10 million litres per year by 2020.

Located in the heart of London, Ontario’s industrial corridor, GLB specializes in producing biodiesel and converting used cooking oil into biodiesel. The company works closely with industry professionals, as well as environmental groups to help ensure that their production is done in the most ethical manner possible.

Construction of the GLB Canada facility began in 2013 and was completed just a year later. This limited construction time allowed GLB to start producing biodiesel by 2014.

Our Values

Our values underpin every interaction we have, whether with colleagues, customers, suppliers and the communities in which we operate. This post explores our responsibility to stand for what we believe in, and why our values matter.

We do this by:

  • Delivering change through innovation: developing and driving renewable projects
  • Evolving our supply chain: maintaining quality and reliable supply
  • Retaining strong customer relationships: honesty and
    transparency in how we work
  • Acting responsibly and being accountable:
doing no harm to people or place.

Our Mission

To deliver long-term value for our stakeholders through the production
and distribution of waste derived renewable transportation fuels.

We will deliver this value by developing and delivering innovative
solutions that reduce the dependency on toxic fossil fuels. The solutions will
combine waste feedstocks (available in abundance) and renewable energy to produce
clean transportation fuel. This fuel will comply with all regulatory requirements for use in either passenger or commercial diesel engines. Our solutions are designed to quickly and efficiently integrate into current operations of waste-producing industries, ensuring a low cost of ownership.
